It wasn't my fault...

Well, I'd say my house has been officially baptized. I started my first fire tonight, unintentionally of course. I thought I kept smelling something funny but thought it was the cow from outside. It wasn't till I saw the flames at the end of my bed that I realized it wasn't the cow. It was my water heater and the plastic ball was aflame. When I had finished heating my bath water, I turned off the outlet switch, not unplugging it like I normaly do. So When my computer was dying, I just forgot about the water heater and turned the switch on.  LOL Damn, now my house smells like burnt rubber and I wont have hot water tomorrow! :(  And to make matters worse, it also just rained and I think the smoke is attracting flying termites into my house. Not a good night.

  1. What happens to a concrete house when a fire starts? Did your bed burn? How far do you have to go to get another water heater?

  2. That's a good question, one I would not like to find out the answer. My bed didn't burn. Although, I was really lucky that my clothes and suitcases that were there didn't burn as well. A friend who lives in Kericho is getting me a new one. Even if I went myself, the drive to Kericho is not that bad. It's about 45 minutes north from me.
